How to shut down / restart a remote computer

How to shut down / restart a remote computer via command line or gui:

At the command prompt (or just type it in the start->run dialog box):

shutdown -i (only displays the shutdown UI)

shutdown -m \\machineNameOrIp -r
(shuts down and reboots the machine, fails if a program fails to close)

shutdown -m \\machineNameOrIp -r -f
(shuts down and reboots the machine, if the applications don’t respond in a timely manner forces their termination)

You can optionally add -t xx to specify how much time to wait until shut down, I believe the default is 30 seconds.

As always, if you type /? at the command prompt like so:
shutdown /?
you will get the shutdown options.

NOTES:
This app apparently is part of an admin pack though I don’t know which one.  It’s currently on my machine.
This app requires you to have permission to shutdown the machine, if you don’t it will fail with access denied.
